Matthew 11:28-30 says this to the weary soul… “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
The beauty of being a believer is this:
We are not called to walk alone.
We are not called to carry our own burdens.
We are not called to even walk in own wisdom.
We are not called to walk in our own strength but, to rely on Him alone.
We are called to yoke up to the Master.
We are called to walk in His steps.
We are called to let Him carry us through the hardships we face.
We are called to walk just as He walked.
The believer is called to truly rest in Him and when we are walking just as the Master keeping our eyes fixed on our Creator, we will find peace that passes all understanding, come what may.
May we be encouraged that no matter where we are at in life He will meet us there. May we come as we are but, not stay that way and lastly may we truly grow in the knowledge of Him who came to set the captives free!
