Think On These Things

Think On These Things

 Psalm 19:14

Let the words my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my rock and my Redeemer.

When all around us things seem out of control, what is our mind and heart meditating on?

Are we meditating on the fear, the news, the constant worry?

Once, someone said to me, what goes in must come out..  So I guess the question should be what are we filling our minds with during this time and throughout our daily life?

What kinds of movies are we watching? Are they healthy, wholesome and feeding our soul?

Maybe we need to turn off the noise of the world (i.e. news, social media and smartphones.) so that we can actually hear the whisper of our Master.

Some of us just need to dust off our Bibles, start reading as we allow His word to renew our minds, our strength and our hearts. We are going to need to spiritually armor up with the word.

Some of us may have sin, that has not been repented for, in our life that is causing restlessness, and let me tell you that restlessness is actually a GIFT to the believer.

Sadly, the enemy knows the word of God better than most believers do, he has had centuries to know the ins and outs. Let’s change that in our personal lives! What we fill our minds and hearts with throughout our lifetime will affect the words that we say and the actions we take in this life.

May we choose wisely as believers what our minds meditate on day and night.

Philippians 4:8 says this: Finally, brethren, whatever is TRUE, whatever is HONORABLE, whatever is RIGHT, whatever is PURE, whatever is LOVELY, whatever is of GOOD REPUTE, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, THINK ON THESE THINGS.
